Hugh Cornwell Currently Back On Tour - November 2015

Hugh Cornwell is currently a few days into his November tour and you should do your  utmost to catch one or more of the shows for an excellent
live experience.  (See dates further below)

Hugh is one of the most important figures in punk and new wave music.  He was the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter in one of Britain’s most loved and most influential bands of all time: The Stranglers best known for their hits “Golden Brown”, “No More Heroes”, “Peaches” and “Always The Sun”.

Always ahead of the curve, he has made headlines both with the music and innovative approaches to reaching new audiences over the years, being at the forefront of experimentation with free downloads and crowdfunding.

In August 2015, Hugh Cornwell released “The Fall And Rise Of Hugh Cornwell” through Invisible Hands Music, on LP and CD [Cat Nos IH61, IHCD61].  The first ever anthology of his post-Stranglers career, twenty five years on from leaving the band, this album brings together twelve choice Cornwell classics taken from the first six solo albums, plus one brand new studio recording, “Live It And Breathe It” [on CD format only].

TRACKLISTING:
Leave Me Alone  / Beat Of My Heart / Hot Cat On A Tin Roof / Break Of Dawn / Under Her Spell / First Bus To Babylon [Side One LP Format]
Please Don't Put Me On A Slow Boat To Trowbridge / Lay Back On Me Pal / One Burning Desire / Cadiz / Long Dead Train / Getting Involved [Side Two LP Format]
Live It And Breathe It [CD format only].

“The Fall And Rise Of Hugh Cornwell” is sure to be a hit with Stranglers fans and others curious to catch up with the solo work of this revolutionary, radical legend of modern music. This album is a carefully curated dip into the deep pool of work created in the twenty seven years since Hugh Cornwell has been releasing solo albums.

Sexy Sounds of Supergroup The Dead Daisies on tour with KISS - European & Australian tour dates

The Dead Daisies are thrilled to announce their return to Europe touring with KISS  (on their 40th Anniversary Tour  ) in 2015.

The European KISS dates will coincide  with the release of The Daisies much anticipated second album, which will be released globally in June 2015.

There is only ONE UK date : Sun, June 14 Download Festival (Derby, UK)

The album title Revolución was influenced by the bands recent trip to Cuba. They are currently recording in Sydney, Australia at Studio 301, with tracks being produced by The Dead Daisies and Craig Porteils (Guns N’ Roses/Billy Idol).

Additional recordings took place in Cuba produced by The Dead Daisies and Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson).

“Well, another chapter with ‘The Dead Daisies’ coming up!!!  After finishing what is sounding great in the studio by mid-April, and releasing it in early June, we are all excited by the prospect of sharing the same stage again with the mighty KISS, this time in Europe. We also can’t wait to share our show and new music with our European fans. Europe – get ready for some good ol’ Rock & Roll In your Face.  WE ARE COMIN’ TO GETCHA!!!!  SEE YA”LL THERE….ARE YOU READY?” - Marco Mendoza.

The Dead Daisies have  a rotating line-up that features some of the world’s best rock musicians. This tour will feature Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses, The Psychedelic Furs), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, RATT), Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses, Hookers & Blow), David Lowy (MINK, Red Phoenix) and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol).

The band  also supported KISS on US dates last year .

Influenced by 70’s and early 80’s hard rock, The Dead Daisies sound is  'muscular vocals, bluesy riffs, big choruses, powerful melodies and strong hooks.'

As noted above they have a rotating line-up , other line-up variations  for The Dead Daisies include  Jon Stevens (Noiseworks/INXS  Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones), Charley Drayton (The Cult), ,  John Tempesta (The Cult/Rob Zombie),   Alex Carapetis (Julian Casablancas + The Voidz/Nine Inch Nails), Bernard Fowler (The Rolling Stones), Jackie Barnes (Tin Lids/Jimmy Barnes), and Frank Ferrer (Guns N’ Roses/The Psychedelic Furs )
